HSH Nordbank Run – Running and Helping

The initiative "Kinder helfen Kindern e.V." ("Kids help Kids e.V.") from the newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt has founded the project "…let’s go! Kids to the clubs". The intention of the project is to give children of underprivileged families the chance to join sports clubs and thus to experience companionship. We support this Initiative with the HSH Nordbank Run, the biggest company run in northern Germany. In 2010, we are the main sponsor for the sixth time. Following the slogan "Running and Helping", company teams start for charity purpose, run four kilometres through the Harbour City of Hamburg and contribute with their participation fee to the donation proceeds.
So far the HSH Nordbank Run has been a great success: More than 500.000 EUR have been donated to the project "… let’s go! Kids to the clubs" and more than 4.000 children have been enabled to join sports clubs.

Kieler Woche – Supporting the Sportive Competition

"Kieler Woche" is the largest regatta competition in the world and attracts hundreds of thousands of sailing fans to the region of Kiel each year. Since 2003, when HSH Nordbank was founded by a merger of equals, we have been Sponsor of the Kieler Woche. Our commitment as a Premium Partner means pragmatic help to the sailors in regatta: With the HSH Nordbank Blue Repair Service, we offer a unique repair service on the water. Two motorised tenders help the sailors to fix their repairs during the regattas so that they are able to concentrate on the sportive competition.
